Marlon Tajik
Marlon Tajik was born on May 11, 2003, in Stockholm, Sweden. His journey in martial arts began with traditional Japanese jiu-jitsu, but it was in early 2014 that he discovered his true passion—Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Introduced to the sport by his father, who had just begun training at the time, Marlon quickly fell in love with the art after attending a single class. From that moment on, he never looked back.
Before BJJ, Marlon had never seriously pursued any sport. Though he played football recreationally as a kid, it wasn't until he stepped onto the mats that he fully embraced the life of an athlete. BJJ offered something deeper—discipline, challenge, and purpose.
The highlight of his career so far came in 2025, when he claimed double gold at the IBJJF European Championshipsas a brown belt. Just a month earlier, Marlon had suffered a tough loss in the final of the IBJJF No-Gi Worlds. That setback only fueled his drive. At Europeans, he returned with intensity—submitting every opponent in his division and dominating the open class to secure double gold. It was a breakthrough moment that solidified his belief in himself and set the tone for what’s to come.
Marlon’s game is built around precision and efficiency. His signature technique is the straight ankle lock, a submission he has been refining since his juvenile years. He favors it not just for its effectiveness, but because of how seamlessly it connects to sweeps, back takes, and other attacks—making it a core weapon in his arsenal.

Some of Marlon’s top accomplishments include:
• 1st – IBJJF European Championship 2025 (Double Gold)
• 1st – CBJJ Brazilian Nationals 2024 (Open Class)
• 1st – IBJJF European No-Gi Championship 2023 (Double Gold)
• 2nd – IBJJF World No-Gi Championship 2024
• 3rd – IBJJF World Championship 2024 (Weight & Open Class)
